With eyes sentitive for green & pink

I had another customer website launching meeting today. I had to drive early and very far for one hour meeting, Then I drove as fast as I dared back to Göteborg for a planned lunch date. But of course I was too late.

I had lunch alone sitting outdoors. It was very warm....summer feelings again. I enjoyed the lime green view and my coffee. Luckily my small camera was with me ....as always. Unless battery is flat.

Going back to the office I went though the backyard full of azaleas, rhododendron and pink magnolias. The azaleas are through but the magnolias are magic.

There are at least three different types of rhododendron. Each one with its own time for  blossom. The gardener knew what he did. There will be more pictures.

There are more flowers at my Facebook page. Go there and find the like button if you like what you see.

Perishable beauties - part two (the album)

I just got a question about what camera I used - it is a small Fujifilm Finepix. Pretty light sensitive which is very important for me since I hate flash light. My "professional" camera (use at some other blogposts) is a Canon 500D. I love the last one but it is too big to be carry around. The Fujifim is in my handbag always.

If you take many pictures with a poor camera you will get more great photos than if you take few with a professional one. Composition and light is most important. And timing of course. Here the small one often wins since it is "there".

Looking for Northern Lapwing and Blue anemones

A day trip looking for Northern Lapwing and Blue anemones. Succeeded with the last one. Sudden summer weather.

Just north of Skärhamn

I saw one of those birds but at 400 meters distance. A few years ago there was hundreds of them at this time of the year. I wonder what might have happened.

Not as wet as last visit but still very wet. This time I had to clean my boots for real. Probably because it wasn´t that soaking wet as last time - it was more kind of mud. Next time I will bring a plastic bag to put them in. My car do not look nice at all.

Old pines. I presume there was no sheltering woods around when these trees grow. They had to dodge to get away from the wind and salt. There is a small colony of dead threes. Probably a thousand years.

Moulding oak leaf was the perfect background to this blue colour. Oak leaves contain lots of acid who needs to be compensated by the shells in the soil. Without the shells there wouldn´t have been any blue anemones. They need lots of calcium to manage the acid rains from above.

The soil us full of shells giving it a silvery colour. There was a beach here just a few thousands years ago. Thanks to what the sea brought there anemones can manage. They are very rare due to air pollution now a days.

More Easter pictures - a lovely pet

Some friends of mine keeps this kind of hen/cock as pets in their garden. The kids train them. They seems to like cuddling. Anyhow - he is beautiful.

I will tell no bad jokes about that T-shirt. You can do that yourselves :)

Happy Easter from the countryside

I wish everybody a Happy Easter!

The weather is lovely. I started up working in the garden today. It was actually so warm that bikini was the perfect outfit. In afternoon I pimped myself for Cafe Loca, put an overall on and went to the stable just a kilometre away. But when we were ready with the horses I was too tired and went home again. (Fresh air is dangerous - it proves to be true again and again).

So now I sit here writing this blogpost dressed up for salsa dancing but there will be none. I think I change and go out in the garden once again.

Pictures from this afternoon, from the stable

This rabbit is half wild. No one can bring it indoors. I wonder how long it will survive the fox and wolf (yes there are some wolfs in this area - seen just 300 meters from where I sit now)

Respect

A few happenings lately - good happenings - made me think about how happy I am to be surrounded by loving and caring people giving me respect. Both private and professionally.

So I celebrate with Adeva´s version of Respect. I like her attitude and voice. Feel the grove from house music, recorded 1989 http://www.youtube.com/embed/t21dMFdA0NU
